CLOU Strengthens Global Supply with Batam Energy Storage Factory Project

2025/08/19

CLOU Electronics is advancing the construction of its new energy storage manufacturing facility in Batam, Indonesia, marking an important step in the companys global expansion strategy.

On July 25, 2025, CLOU held a factory handover and ribbon-cutting ceremony, celebrating a key milestone in the projects development. The Batam facility will further expand CLOUs international manufacturing footprint and strengthen its ability to serve customers worldwide.

Located at the heart of Southeast Asia, Batam sits close to major shipping routes and within one hour by sea from Singapore, making it a highly strategic hub for global logistics. This geographic advantage will allow CLOU to connect more efficiently with customers across Asia, Europe, and North America, improving responsiveness and reliability in international deliveries.

On August 14, 2025, CLOU welcomed a delegation of senior Indonesian government representatives led by the Minister of Trade to the project site. Their visit underscored the strong recognition the project has received locally and the role CLOU will play in supporting clean energy manufacturing in Indonesia.

The Batam project also demonstrates CLOUs commitment to long-term local development. The first phase is expected to create at least 200 jobs, with plans to work closely with universities and vocational institutions to develop local expertise and build a skilled workforce for the clean energy sector.

Once completed, the Batam facility will serve as a cornerstone of CLOUs global supply network combining advanced production capacity with Batams strategic location to deliver reliable and sustainable energy storage solutions for customers in Southeast Asia and around the world.
