CLOU Showcases Full Liquid-Cooled Energy Storage Solutions at The smarter E South America 2026, Accelerating Expansion in Brazil

The smarter E South America 2026 took place from August 25 to 27 in São Paulo, Brazil. CLOU presented a portfolio of advanced energy storage solutions, including its lightweight and high energy density utility-scale energy storage system, next-generation liquid-cooled C&I energy storage system, and all-in-one photovoltaic energy storage system. Leveraging product designs adapted to local application requirements, independently developed core equipment, and flexible supply and support capabilities, CLOU demonstrated its comprehensive competitiveness in Brazil’s rapidly developing energy storage market.


Showcasing the 261kWh liquid-cooled energy storage solution with focus on C&I and photovoltaic energy storage scenarios in Brazil

For the current Brazilian market situation featuring significant peak-valley C&I electricity price differences and a high installed capacity of distributed photovoltaics, CLOU has launched the Aqua-E261 liquid-cooled C&I energy storage system, and the first integrated photovoltaic energy storage unit – the Aqua-X261, both of which come with 314Ah cells with a single cabinet capacity of 261kWh, and have passed a full array of international certifications such as IEC, UN and CE, well meeting the import admission requirements of the Brazilian market.


The Aqua-X261 is designed specifically for Brazil's massive hybrid photovoltaic energy storage scenarios, and supports optional 120kW photovoltaic access ports and STS static switching modules. It integrates the photovoltaic power generation, energy storage scheduling, and seamless load switching functions in a one-stop solution.


High-energy-density utility-scale energy storage systems designed in line with Brazilian grid standards

To meet the local rigid requirements in the emerging Brazilian large-capacity energy storage market, e.g., local energy storage projects should comply with the 60Hz grid standard and the ONS grid connection technical specifications, and have grid-forming operation capabilities, CLOU can provide the integrated solution of "liquid-cooled energy storage system + grid-forming PCS + EMS".


On the DC side, the flagship Aqua-C 3.0 Ultra model uses a 13-foot compact case design with a single container capacity of up to 5.154MWh and an overall weight of less than 39 tons. Compared to traditional 20-foot energy storage cabinets, this product has advantages such as a light weight, a high energy density and a small footprint, and can reduce investments in marine logistics, land acquisition, civil construction, and onsite installation effectively while also improving system deployment efficiency and O&M convenience.


For flexible deployment scenarios such as those with limited spaces, complex terrains, or micro-grids in industrial parks, the Aqua-C2.5S mini 10-foot liquid-cooled energy storage system boasts a capacity of 2MWh up to 2.5MWh, and an overall weight of 20 tons to 23 tons. Its lightweight body is suited for complex hilly areas, irregular factory plots, and other such scenarios, reducing the difficulty of project site selection and construction. This product has been applied to a 2MW/8MWh AC/DC integrated standalone grid-side energy storage benchmark project in Japan. Through the DC+AC in-factory pre-assembly model, the onsite installation and commissioning time is shortened by about 50%, fully demonstrating its capabilities of rapid delivery, flexible deployment, and stable operation.


In terms of grid-forming capabilities, CLOU can tailor PCS solutions to different application scenarios. Among them, the Aqua-C3.0S Ultra and the Aqua-C2.5S mini both come with a built-in String grid-forming PCS. The Aqua-C3.0H Ultra can be paired with a centralized 1+X grid-forming PCS solution to support large-capacity power-station-level grid connection and grid-forming operation requirements.

Supporting project implementation with diversified supply solutions + local aftersales services

CLOU Energy Storage also possesses flexible and diversified supply and supporting capabilities, and is able to fully comply with local procurement policies in Brazil. On the one hand, it can provide full-stack self-developed BESS, PCS, and EMS core energy storage equipment, and overall station engineering design services; on the other hand, it supports the local procurement of associated equipment such as step-up transformers, switch cabinets, and EMSs, delivers integrated comprehensive energy storage solutions to customers.
